Scrabo Tower

Overview
The 135-foot high Scrabo Tower, one of Northern Ireland's best-known landmarks, dominates the landscape of North Down and is the centre of a country park around the slopes of Scrabo Hill. The Tower provides a series of interpretative displays about the surrounding countryside, and the viewing platform boasts spectacular views over Strangford Lough and County Down. The park provides walks through fine beech and hazel woodlands, and the unique sandstone quarries display evidence of volcanic activity, as well as being breeding sites for peregrine falcons.
