Overview
The museum tells the story of the handloom weaver's son, born here in 1835, who created the biggest steel works in the USA and then became a philanthropist on a huge scale. The present-day work of the philanthropic Carnegie trusts is also explained. A series of temporary exhibitions will take place in the main hall throughout the year.
