Inverewe Garden

Recommended by Visit England Logo
Overview
The influence of the North Atlantic Drift enables this remarkable 54-acre garden to grow rare and sub-tropical plants. At its best in early June, but full of beauty from March to October, Inverewe has a backdrop of magnificent mountains and stands to the north of Loch Maree. It was created by Osgood Mackenzie in the 1860s, and after he died in 1922, his daughter Mairi carried on the work.
