About the area
Inverclyde may be one of the smallest of Scotland’s areas in terms of area and population, but it is a popular destination for those arriving on cruise ships to visit Glasgow and the Clyde. The River Clyde sets the scene for the area’s rich history, which dates back to the Vikings and features international trading and shipbuilding amongst its highlights.
