There’s something very appealing about the simplicity of a log cabin getaway – but simple doesn’t necessarily have to mean basic. From romantic hideaways with jacuzzi baths to riverside cedar structures complete with private hot tubs, here are some of our favourite luxury log cabins.

Kielder Lodges, Northumberland

La Bailloterie Camping, Guernsey

La Bailloterie is Guernsey’s longest established campsite and is set in 10 acres of land with the island’s beautiful beaches within walking distance. The site is home to two wooden camping cabins, each sleeping four. Take in the views across the site from the rocking chairs on the cabin’s sun deck.

Timbers, Cornwall

Situated in Little Petherick, just inland and south of Padstow in North Cornwall, this log cabin with A-frame roof, Cornish stone fireplace and timber-clad rooms offers a truly memorable holiday experience and is superbly situated for walking the South West Coast Path and surfing at Constantine, Treyarnon or Harlyn Bay.

White Horse Farm, Dorset

Located in the rural Dorset in the hamlet of Middlemarsh, near Sherborne, White Horse Farm comprises four barn cottages and a three bedroomed 4-star log cabin. It's all set within two acres of garden, with a paddock and duck pond. Only some 200 yards from the local pub.
