Ness Botanic GardensQuality Assessed
"A delightful 64-acres of stunning gardens."
Overview
Ness Gardens is situated on the Dee Estuary with fantastic views of the Welsh coastline. A 64-acre space of beautiful arrangements consisting of rare and exotic species of flora. The gardens were the dream of Arthur Bulley who created the foundations in the late 19th century before his daughter donated the grounds to The University of Liverpool in 1948. Ever since then, the gardens have remained a centre for learning, botanical research and public enjoyment.
About the area
Nestled between the Welsh hills and Derbyshire Peaks, the Cheshire plains make an ideal location to take things slow and mess around in boats. Cheshire has more than 200 miles (302 km) of man-made waterways, more than any other county in England.
