Overview
Myddelton House Gardens are home to a range of glasshouses, a kitchen garden, rock garden, several national plant collections and the famous ‘Lunatic Asylum’. Various historical artifacts can be discovered around the eight acres of gardens, including the old Enfield Market Cross and a pair of 300-year-old life-size lead ostriches. Following a 2 two-year Heritage Lottery funded project in 2011, restoration has continued ever since to return Edward Augustus Bowles’ garden to its former glory.
