"Contemporary arts centre set in a late-Victorian church"
Overview
Opened in 2001, and housed in an old church, the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre presents a diverse programme of exhibitions exploring contemporary art, craft and design. There are about 20 exhibitions a year, displayed in six exhibition spaces. The architecture of the church is used to good effect. Great for families, complete with cafe and gift shop.

About the area
Much of the fenland around the Wash has been drained of its marshes and reclaimed as highly productive farmland. Further north, the coastline, with its sandy beaches, has been developed to accommodate the holiday industry, with caravans, campsites and the usual seaside paraphernalia.
