"Peaceful site handy for M1 and the Peak District."
Overview
A secluded and very peaceful site amidst woods and farmland with access to several good walks. There are two touring areas – one is gently sloping. The modern amenity block has good privacy options. Although there isn't a laundry room here, there is an indoor dishwashing area. Not far from the M1, this site is convenient for exploring the area's industrial heritage, as well as the beautiful Peak District and South Yorkshire market towns.

Our inspector loves...
The setting - Peaceful site surrounded by woodland and farmland (cattle, sheep, geese ...).
Nearby - The nearest pub is 3min drive away, and the shops are only an extra 3min from that.
Dishwashing area - Indoor space with plenty of tourist info in the corner, and DVDs to borrow.
No laundry - But there is a launderette in the nearby village, only a short drive away.
Bring your close ones along - Kids and dogs are welcome.

About the area
Traditionally a steel and coal producing centre, the decline of both industries in South Yorkshire has been replaced to some extent by tourism based around the area’s beautiful Pennine countryside. The county claims part of the Peak District National Park, whose hills and dales provide welcome space for the large urban populations.
