Seckford Hall Hotel★★★★
"Manicured grounds, impressive façade and friendly staff."
Overview
Seckford Hall is an elegant Tudor manor house set amid landscaped grounds just off the A12. It is reputed that Queen Elizabeth I visited this property, and it's retained so much of its original character that it's easy to believe. Public rooms include a superb panelled lounge, a cosy bar and the intimate 1530 Restaurant. The spacious bedrooms are attractively decorated, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully equipped.

About the area
Suffolk is Constable country, where the county’s crumbling, time-ravaged coastline spreads itself under wide skies to convey a wonderful sense of remoteness and solitude. Highly evocative and atmospheric, this is where rivers wind lazily to the sea and notorious 18th-century smugglers hid from the excise men.
