"Worth seeking out for its gastronomic delights and smart interior."
Overview
Northcote is a well-established Northern gastronomic landmark, acquired by new, independent owners Alf and Clare Ellis, where the delights of Chef Patron-Director Lisa Goodwin-Allen can be discovered. The delicious and highly seasonal cooking includes Lancashire’s finest fare, as well as fruit and herbs from the hotel’s own beautifully laid-out organic gardens. Drinks can be enjoyed in the comfortable, elegantly furnished lounges and bar. Each of the luxury bedrooms has its own identity with sumptuous fabrics and soft furnishings, sophisticated lighting and modern bathrooms; some have a garden patio. The annexe rooms are particularly impressive. 6 of the hotel’s oldest manor house rooms have been upgraded – with the remaining rooms due to be upgraded by the end of the year – and are now fully modernised with air conditioning, Bamford amenities, Nespresso coffee machines, Smart TV’s and Hypnos Wool Origins mattresses.
