Overview
Located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Middleton Lodge is a 200-acre privately owned estate where guests can eat, gather and pause. The Estate is home to an award winning 57-bedroom hotel, two restaurants, the relaxed Coach House and Forge, the Forest Spa, walled garden and private event spaces. There are also self-catered cottages (the Farmhouse and Hope House) for larger party stays. Both restaurants follow an estate-to-plate ethos, growing as much produce onsite as possible to ensure menus are sustainable. Rooms are dotted across in the original estate buildings. They're relaxed with botanical hues throughout and inspired by the history of the estate, while being rustic and calming spaces to enjoy. Each bedroom has been individually designed. Some have giant tin hot tubs and private garden terraces, others have large windows to bring the outdoors in, freestanding bathtubs, and large beds. The Forest Spa is designed to connect guests to nature, offering a large heated outdoor pool at the centre. There’s also a pool lounge, thermal spa with sauna, plunge pool and steam room and a bubbling outdoor hot tub. Massages and beauty rituals take place in the treatment huts which are dotted in the ancient estate woodlands, two of which are bathing huts for a unique bathing experience. The estate also hosts private events for celebrations; these can take place in the Walled Gardens or Palladian Main House and are managed by the experienced team.
