Overview
Sixteenth-century, solidly built free house, where Sharp's Doom Bar, St Austell Tribute and Healey's Cornish Rattler wave the black and white county flag. The three dining areas do likewise by offering prime-cut Cornish steaks and other locally sourced dishes, typically grilled Cornish hake with chorizo, fennel, olives and peppers; breaded scampi with chips and peas; mushroom Stroganoff; and Cajun-spiced salmon steak with garlic mayonnaise. The Sunday carvery is popular.
