Overview
If you want to experience the view from Mam Tor, feel what it’s like to hang glide over the Hope Valley, or cling to a rockface on Stanage Edge, then Castleton Visitor Centre may be the place for you. Located in the centre of the village, it’s the main hub for exploring Castleton and the Hope Valley, a centre from which to explore the northern National Park, and also a Tourist Information Centre and the location of the Castleton Village Museum, home of many local treasures, some dating back to prehistoric times.

The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone.
