Overview
It’s fascinating to see stained glass up close. Some 800 years of stained-glass history are illustrated in this unique museum inside Ely Cathedral, displaying over 100 panels of original windows rescued from Britain and abroad. The medieval section includes important loans from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. There are also exhibits from Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, work by William Morris and John Piper, and changing exhibitions of contemporary work are held throughout the year.
