Knoll Gardens

Overview
Knoll Gardens takes its inspiration from the natural world. Its naturalistic planting style creates a glorious garden packed with year-round interest, which is also beneficial to wildlife. Informal plantings of grasses and flowering perennials take centre stage, and are set against a mini-arboretum of rare and unusual trees and shrubs, to create a sense of seclusion among the ever-changing vistas. Knoll's owner, Neil Lucas, is the UK's leading authority on ornamental grasses, and gardeners looking for practical planting ideas will not be disappointed. Among the treasures are a Mediterranean-style gravel garden, a Sunny Meadow with a tapestry of flowers through the season, and a new sedge meadow, which takes its inspiration from Californian gardens. Knoll's event programme includes walks, workshops, wildlife days and masterclasses. The nursery also offers planting advice.
