"Inspiring, cutting-edge cooking with vibrant flavours."
Overview
Owned and run by Jon and Helen Howe, it may be set in an unassuming parade but inside, Lumière is the very embodiment of an elegant and stylish, modern dining room. Decorated in soothing pastel tones, with statement mirrors and abstract artworks, there’s nothing stiff or formal about the service. In the kitchen, Jon’s highly inventive cooking delivers big flavours with balance, precision and creative plating. Your meal might begin with diver-caught Orkney scallop, fennel, cauliflower and vadouvan, or Wye Valley asparagus with morel, summer truffle, wild garlic and Jersey Royals. Show more

About the area
Gloucestershire is home to a variety of landscapes, including the Cotswolds, a region of gentle hills, valleys and gem-like villages that roll through the county. To their west is the Severn Plain, watered by Britain’s longest river and characterised by orchards and farms marked out by hedgerows that blaze with mayflower in the spring; beyond the Severn are the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley
