Overview
A stalwart of the Torquay gastronomic scene, the Elephant Restaurant by Simon Hulstone occupies a split-level room overlooking the harbour. It’s an engaging space where elegant period features dovetail with contemporary touches and a relaxed brasserie-style feel. The cooking has maturity and confidence, so expect precise dishes with elegant presentation, starting with bream and langoustine matched astutely with salsify and yuzu. Main course delivers halibut in prime condition alongside, cucumber, potato terrine and beurre blanc.
