Sykeside Camping & Caravan Park★★★
"Stunning location, views and a popular hikers pub are special features."
Overview
A campers’ delight, this family-run park is situated at the foot of Kirkstone Pass, under the 2,000ft Hartsop Dodd in a spectacular area with breathtaking views. The park has mainly grass pitches and around 30 hardstandings, and for those campers without a tent there is bunkhouse accommodation, and three glamping pods for hire. The park attracts a wide variety of wildlife and the Brotherswater Inn serves breakfast and bar meals.

About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills.
