Recommended by Visit England Logo
Overview
Based at Historic Gloucester Dock, Discover Paddling offers a great way to explore the area, immerse yourself in nature and get some exercise all at the same time. After full instruction, adventurers will take a kayak or paddleboard, and venture out onto the rivers and canals that spread out from the dock. Family trips are popular, as is Paddleboard Yoga.
Location
National Waterways Museum, Llanthony Warehouse, The Docks, GLOUCESTER, GLOUCESTERSHIRE, GL1 2EH
About the area
Gloucestershire is home to a variety of landscapes, including the Cotswolds, a region of gentle hills, valleys and gem-like villages that roll through the county. To their west is the Severn Plain, watered by Britain’s longest river and characterised by orchards and farms marked out by hedgerows that blaze with mayflower in the spring; beyond the Severn are the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.
