"Great food and soothing contemporary looks."
Overview
The charming Angel Inn has welcomed guests since the 16th century. After a full refurbishment that included the addition of new rooms, it remains a popular spot with the locals and new visitors. The public areas have a wealth of character combined with contemporary touches, and offer a choice of dining rooms that include a smart restaurant with an original well. The menus change regularly and the kitchen brigade only uses the best available produce. Bedrooms are deeply comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. The terrace and garden have been professionally designed and are the perfect spot for a relaxing experience during the warm months of the year. Parking available.

About the area
Suffolk is Constable country, where the county’s crumbling, time-ravaged coastline spreads itself under wide skies to convey a wonderful sense of remoteness and solitude. Highly evocative and atmospheric, this is where rivers wind lazily to the sea and notorious 18th-century smugglers hid from the excise men.
