The Seafood Restaurant
"Simply a great place to enjoy a meal."
Overview
Padstow has morphed into a different entity from the sleepy fishing village of Rick Stein’s youth, with a plethora of great places to eat, but his flagship restaurant is still top of everyone’s list. Whether you go for the main dining room, the sunny conservatory or the roof terrace, there is an easy going, friendly air throughout, with vibrant modern art and seaside hues. You could get cracking – quite literally, with magnificent fruits de mer platters. Otherwise, start with ragout of sautéed turbot in white miso sauce before moving on to a chargrilled sea bass with tomato, butter and vanilla vinaigrette.
