The Bull & Swan at Burghley
"Welcoming historic inn with great gastro menus."
Overview
The Bull and Swan is an old stone inn that was once used as a staging post for coaches on the Great North Road, but nowadays it’s an informal dining pub. Inside, are original beams, stone walls, rugs on dark wood floors and caramel-coloured leather dining chairs. Regional produce is the backbone, along with home-grown vegetables from the kitchen garden where possible.

About the area
Much of the fenland around the Wash has been drained of its marshes and reclaimed as highly productive farmland. Further north, the coastline, with its sandy beaches, has been developed to accommodate the holiday industry, with caravans, campsites and the usual seaside paraphernalia
