Nene Valley Railway

Overview
Originally opened as a working railway in 1845, closed in 1966, then re-opened in 1977 as a tourist railway, Nene Valley Railway has steam and diesel engines, carriages and wagons from the UK and Europe. Travelling between Yarwell Junction, Wansford and Peterborough, the 7.5 miles of track pass through the heart of the 500-acre Ferry Meadows Country Park. Nene Valley Railway is also the home of Thomas. Thomas and other themed events from February to December.
