"Top-flight regional cooking in an iconic location."
Overview
This remote whitewashed cottage restaurant is nestled on the shores of Loch Dunvegan. A remote whitewashed cottage restaurant on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, The Three Chimneys & The House Over-By is worth the long drive to one of the wildest restaurant locations in the UK. Inside, all is stylish, cosy and romantic: a warren of small rooms with low ceilings, polished dark wood floors and tables offset by exposed stone walls. The kitchen is firing on all cylinders, with food firmly rooted in its island environment, particularly seafood from nearby waters, as in a pristine sea-fresh scallop with shellfish velouté and purslane, then a dish of lemon sole matched with horseradish velouté, a crisp fried oyster, lemon, lime and chervil.
