Overview
The history of this magnificent castle spans eight centuries and its buildings now house several museums. Look for the Maritime Museum that charts Guernsey's nautical history, the 'Story of Castle Cornet' with its mystery skeleton and the 201 squadron RAF Museum. A refurbished Regimental Museum of the Royal Guernsey Militia and Royal Guernsey Light Infantry is now open. Soldiers fire the noonday gun in a daily ceremony. A programme of living history, theatre, music and family events take place throughout the year.
