Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial
Overview
With sweeping views over the Cambridgeshire countryside, this peaceful and beautiful memorial commemorates the American servicemen and women who died in Britain during World War II. The 30 acre site includes a modern visitor centre containing exhibits that incorporate personal histories, photographs, films, and interactive displays to help visitors gain a better understanding of the British-American partnership that contributed to the Allied victory in Europe in World War II. The Cemetary is along Madingley Road, a main thoroughfare out of Cambridge, between Coton and Madingley.
