Overview
An underground world of stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, rock and cave formations, minerals and fossils. There are rich deposits of the rare and beautiful Blue John stone, including 'The Pillar', the largest piece ever found. Show caves include the Witch's Cave, Aladdin's Cave, Dream Cave and Fairyland Grotto. These caves contain some of the most impressive stalactites in the Peak District. Visitors can also polish their own Blue John stone in school holidays and purchase Blue John stone jewellery and ornaments in the Gift Shop. Carols by Candlelight is held during weekends in December.
