Set in 175 acres of North Yorkshire parkland just outside Ripon, Lightwater Valley Theme Park with its falconry centre is a bit different – it’s got a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The theme park line-up includes Europe’s longest roller coaster – The Ultimate – as well as the stomach-churning mighty Eagle’s Claw and the ‘splashtastic’ Wild River Rapids. Take a spinning ride above the treetops on Apollo, risk a one-on-one encounter in Raptor Attack’s abandoned mineshaft or visit the UK's largest Angry Birds activity park. And when you need a break from the thrills, the Falconry shows you how these amazing birds are trained and handled – watch dramatic flying shows at 2pm and 4pm every day.
