Overview
Formerly known as the Churnet Valley Wildlife Park, the Kingsley Bird and Falconry Centre is situated in the beautiful Churnet Valley, with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside. It provides a unique habitat where visitors can marvel at the sight of spectacular birds of prey from all around the world. A wide variety of owls, hawks, falcons and eagles can be seen in the bird park, and you can take a one-hour guided tour accompanied by expert staff. A special experience is the one-to-one half-day visit which take you into the bird enclosures and behind the scenes to gain an understanding of the birds and how the park is run. You can also take a falconry flying experience, and learn how birds of prey were used for hunting. For the more ambitious, full falconry training courses covering every aspect of owning and working with birds of prey are also run from the centre.
