This house was begun in 1887 and is one of the finest examples of 19th-century Arts & Crafts decorative style. All aspects of William Morris's talents are shown in the house - wallpapers, textiles, carpets, tiles, embroidery and even books. The garden reflects late Victorian and Edwardian design.
