Walk directions

From the car park, walk around the old lighthouse and the roundel of cottages to pick up the path leading along the perimeter of the power station. Head towards the grey-roofed Old Coastguard Cottages, which are surrounded by what looks like a circular earthwork or rampart nearby. The right of way leads around the base of this mound to the left of the houses; don't go through the cottage gardens, which are private.

As you emerge on the far side of the ‘earthwork’, head half right across the shingle, where a faint causeway track leads through a gap in a line of posts ahead (a dismantled railway). Continue towards a gap into bushes ahead.
