Overview
Downham Camping Barn enjoys great views of Pendle Hill and is set in the Trough of Bowland AONB. The recently refurbished barn accommodates 10 to 12 in an upstairs dormitory. Downstairs is a kitchen and sitting area with a gas heated shower and WC adjoining. There's no mains electricity, but there is a wood-burning stove and a meter-operated gas cooker. Outside is a fire pit as well as space for tents.

About the area
Lancashire was at the centre of the British cotton industry in the 19th century, which lead to the urbanization of great tracts of the area. The cotton boom came and went, but the industrial profile remains.
