"Fans of historic dramas will love the large collection of carriages."
Overview
Stockwood Discovery Centre explores the history of the region from prehistoric times to the evolution of Stockwood House and the Farley estate. Interactive displays accompany local historical exhibitions in Discovery Hall and across the centre; including the Mossman carriage collection - the largest of its kind in the UK. The Garden Cafe offers fresh, locally-sourced food and has a great children's play area. One memorable aspect of the Centre is the Improvement Garden, where work by Scottish artist Ian Hamilton Finlay (1925-2006) is on permanent display.

About the area
At its most southern point, Bedfordshire is only 35 miles from London Waterloo, so there’s a good reason for the UK’s fifth busiest airport to be called London Luton Airport. The county is one of England’s smaller in terms of area, but more than makes up for it in terms of business HQs and visitor attractions.
