Overview
A 15th-century castle is the centrepiece of 330-acre Witton Castle Country Park. Enjoying a stay here is easy, with a kids’ adventure playground, lake fishing, crazy golf, go-karting, a cinema and a bar. In the evening, maybe go dancing at a live cabaret show. A drive away are Beamish Open-Air Museum, Durham cathedral and High Force Waterfall.

Castle Grounds - Set in fabulous grounds with splendid views.
Leisure and social activities - Bars, restaurant, fish shop within the castle
Fishing - Onsite fishing lakes available to book
Location
Witton Le Wear, BISHOP AUCKLAND, County Durham, DL14 0DE
About the area
County Durham reaches halfway across England, from the North Pennines in the west, to the sea in the east. Much of it is very sparsely inhabited, and is naturally beautiful; a mix of rolling hills, monumental valleys, lush farmland and unforgiving moors.
