Lime Tree Park★★★★
"An ideal touring base with excellent glamping options."
Overview
A very attractive and well-designed site set on the side of a narrow valley in an elevated location, featuring separate, neatly landscaped areas for static caravans, tents, touring caravans, motorhomes, and four glamping pods. The park is maintained with great attention to detail, and a magnificent old railway viaduct provides a striking backdrop. With sweeping views over Buxton and the surrounding hills, this is a sought-after destination offering easy access to the many attractions of the Peak District. Two well-equipped amenity blocks are available on site.

About the area
The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the High Peak Trail which extends from the Derwent Valley to the limestone plateau near Buxton, and for many, the spectacular scenery is what draws them to the area.
