Overview
Gilpin Hotel & Lake House is a smart Victorian residence set in delightful gardens leading to the fells, just a short drive from Lake Windermere. Individually designed bedrooms are stylish, and a number benefit from private terraces. All are spacious and thoughtfully equipped and each has a private sitting room. In addition, there are luxury Spa Suites with their own hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and state-of-the-art massage chairs. The welcoming atmosphere is notable and the attractive day rooms are perfect for relaxation. Ollie Bridgwater and his team at the SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel combine exquisite produce, distinct flavours, seasonality, sustainability and precision, together with exceptional service, to create a fun, fine dining experience. Gilpin Spice has an open kitchen serving a pan-Asian menu inspired by countries along the spice trail and guided by fantastic Cumbrian and British ingredients. Dishes are fun and flavourful with a story behind each one. The Lake House, situated a mile from the main hotel, offers an additional six suites, a spa and stunning lakeside views.
