"World-renowned country house in beautiful grounds."
Overview
Built in 1928 as a private residence for an Australian shipping magnate, and set in 107 acres of lovingly tended grounds, Gidleigh Park has a timeless charm and an endearing, homely atmosphere. The individually styled bedrooms are sumptuously furnished; some with separate seating areas, some with balconies and many enjoying panoramic views. There are spa suites, a loft suite which is ideal for families, and the stunning thatched Pavilion in the grounds. The latter has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge and kitchen diner. The spacious public areas feature antique furniture, beautiful flower arrangements and magnificent artwork. All of this is topped off with cuisine of the highest order to complete the Gidleigh experience.
