Gidleigh Park
"A unique place offering memorable dining."
Overview
A grand arts and crafts-style house, tucked away on the edge of Dartmoor with 107 acres of mature and lovingly tended grounds, Gidleigh Park is nothing if not impressive. There’s a genuine sense of grandeur arriving here, but it also feels homely and the two dining rooms are both relatively understated, with a refined elegance. Menus deal in precision and enticing flavour combinations, perhaps starting with chicken oysters, alexanders, pear and walnut. To follow, partridge, Jerusalem artichoke, golden raisins, hazelnut and lemon thyme; and rum baba, raisin, vanilla, mugwort and caramel makes an indulgent end to a memorable meal.
