The Queen Anne★★★
"Cosy bedrooms at this comfortable old community inn"
Overview
Set in the heart of this pretty village, The Queen Anne has been a licensed inn for over 300 years and to this day acts a hub for the local community. Meals are served in the cosy bar and dining room which benefits from a wealth of original features. During summer months meals can be taken in the pretty garden with far-reaching views across the Derbyshire countryside. The bedrooms are tucked away to the rear of the property in a separate building with direct access; they are comfortable and have modern en suite shower rooms. Ample parking and free WiFi are available.

About the area
The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the High Peak Trail which extends from the Derwent Valley to the limestone plateau near Buxton, and for many, the spectacular scenery is what draws them to the area.
