Raveningham Gardens
Overview
Around ten acres of classic country house gardens surround Raveningham Hall on the 5,000 acre Raveningham Estate, 15 miles north of Norwich. Visitors can enjoy superb herbaceous borders, a Victorian walled kitchen garden with glasshouse, herb garden, Time Garden (inspired by Sir Francis Bacon's essay Of Gardens) an arboretum with newly created stumpery, and a lake established to mark the Millennium. All this in a glorious setting with sculptures by Susan Bacon, and newly refurbished tea rooms.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea.
