Overview
Dating from 1857, Wharton Park was created by William Lloyd Wharton and is one of the oldest parks in the north-east. Located close to the railway station in the heart of Durham, it offers stunning views towards the Castle and Cathedral as well as walks, miniature car track, plays areas and heritage centre.
