Overview
Washington Old Hall, a delightful 17th-century manor incorporating parts of an earlier medieval dwelling which was the home of George Washington's ancestors from 1183 to 1613. It was from here the family took their name. The house has been restored and filled with period furniture, and contains displays on George Washington and the history of American Independence. Enjoy a peaceful walk in the formal Jacobean garden or wildflower nuttery.
