Inveraray Bell Tower

Overview
The tower stands next to All Saints Church but is separate from it. Built by the 10th Duke of Argyll as a war memorial to the dead of Clan Campbell, it was completed in 1931. It has the second heaviest peal of bells in the world, and these are rung once a month. The tower is 126 feet high and has a narrow circular staircase of 176 steps, which are not suitable for the infirm. From the top is a spectacular view of Inverary, Loch Fyne and the surrounding hills.
