The Kings Head Bawburgh★★★★
"Stylish bedrooms and skilfully prepared dishes using local produce"
Overview
Built in 1602, The Kings Head Bawburgh is Grade II listed and sits opposite the river, only a 10-minute drive from the centre of Norwich. The pub boasts six boutique-style bedrooms with modern bathrooms and high-quality fixtures and fittings throughout. There are also two luxury studio rooms in the neighbouring Langtry House. The gastropub on the ground floor offers award-winning food in a traditional dining area complete with oak beams, inglenook fireplace and wood-burners. There's also a lovely outdoor patio for alfresco dining in the summer, and a good range of real ales is available.

About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea.
