Norwich Theatre Royal

Recommended by Visit England Logo
Overview
The history of Norwich Theatre Royal goes back to 1730 when a group of actors formed the Norwich Company of Comedians in a pub in the area. The current Theatre is not in the same building, and things have changed a bit to say the least, but the intention to entertain remains. These days there is a mix of touring productions, stand-up comedies, children's shows, concerts, musicals and tribute acts.
Location
Theatre Street, NORWICH, NR2 1RL
About the area
The North Norfolk Coast is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and probably the finest of its kind in Europe. Here you’ll find a string of quaint villages and small towns – Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea and Cley next the Sea are 21st-century favourites, while Sheringham and Cromer are classic examples of a good old-fashioned seaside resort where grand Victorian hotels look out to sea.
