The Peat Spade Inn★★★★
"Test Valley inn with stylish rooms, cosy public areas and great food."
Overview
In a delightfully tranquil setting between the historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury, Longstock is just north of Stockbridge, in the heart of the Test Valley, known for its fly fishing and picture-postcard villages. The inn has lots of character, with bedrooms located in the main building and the adjacent former peat house. All are comfortable and furnished in a modern style yet in keeping with the date of the original building. The inn is popular for both dining and drinking; the modern British menus are well balanced and use seasonal ingredients sourced from the local area.
